Case study · Tree surgery, Royal Wootton Bassett

Luke and Dan's: 35 real enquiries a month for a tree team in Wootton Bassett.

Luke and Dan's do tree surgery, stump grinding, hedges and lawns from Royal Wootton Bassett. We built their website in July 2026 and every call, form and message now lands in one place, where it is counted and followed up. This is what we built and what the numbers say, each one dated.

Of new work over three years, on the owners' own count. We built their site in July 2026, so most of those years came before us.

What they were up against.

Tree work is a considered buy. People search "tree surgeon" with one tree in mind, look at two or three firms, and pick the one that looks safest and tidiest. Luke and Dan's have the reviews to win that comparison, 5.0 from more than 90 of them. They needed a site that showed it off, and a way to make sure no enquiry slipped between the phone, the inbox and a busy day up a tree.

Where they stand, measured.

How we did it.

  1. A website built on their work

Live on their own domain on 4 July 2026: every service, their own job photos, real Google reviews, and a quote form on every page, laid out for a phone first.

  2. Every enquiry in one place

Calls, forms and messages all land in one place, so each one is seen, followed up and counted. In the 60 days to 1 October 2026, that was 71 people.

  3. Their Google listing pointing at it

The listing people find first sends them to the new site, where the reviews and the photos do the selling.

  4. An opening screen that is theirs

In October 2026 we rebuilt the first screen around their own photos, the lift up in the canopy and the stump grinder, under the line "The tree team your neighbours recommend."

The site, on a phone.

Most of their customers find them on a phone, so this is what most of them see. Three screens from the live site.

A real enquiry is someone who got in touch themselves: a call, a form or a message. Contacts we only sent something to are not counted. Counted from the same records each time; nothing is rounded up.

What this means for a firm like yours.

If you are good at the work and your customers say so, the job is making sure people searching in your town find you, see the proof, and get an answer when they get in touch. That is all of it. By October, about 36 people a month were getting in touch with Luke and Dan's.

What their customers say.

Their Google reviews, word for word. The work is theirs. Our job is making sure the right people see it.

25 year old Robinia tree removed from our garden in Cricklade. Luke, Dan and the team did a very professional job. Site was completely cleared of all debris, and this is the second time we have used them.

Well run, professional outfit. Took all the pain and effort out of getting permission to trim my trees, which are in a conservation area, and turned up as agreed and did a great job. Charged a fair price too. Refreshing!

I used Luke and Dan to thin and crown reduce a hawthorn and hazel tree a couple of weeks ago. Outstanding service from start to finish. Quick, professional, efficient, tidy.
