Case study · Building, Swindon
A family firmA.P. Berrystone: a builder since 1989, and a website that now brings in most of his enquiries.
A.P. Berrystone have built extensions in Swindon since 1989, with a hundred Google reviews to show for it. It is a family firm: Adrian Berrystone is Tyler's dad, so we say that first, and his numbers are counted exactly the same way as everyone else's. His old website did not look like the work he does. We built him a new one from scratch in July 2026.

What he was up against.
Building work is the slowest decision we deal with. Someone planning an extension reads about two or three builders before they ring any of them. Adrian had more than thirty years of work and a hundred reviews behind him, but his old site was a generic template with tiny photos, so the first impression undersold him. He also wanted no automatic follow-up: every enquiry to come straight to him.

How we did it.
Designed from scratch
Not a template. A site in his own red that opens on an extension being built as you scroll, so the first thing a visitor sees is the kind of job he does.
A page for every job he takes on
Single and double-storey extensions, kitchen extensions, renovations, new builds and garage conversions, each with its own page and a quote form.
Built for reading
His awards, how a job runs from start to finish, and real reviews, laid out for someone who reads before they ring, because that is how building work is bought.
Straight to Adrian
At his request there is no automatic follow-up. Every form and call goes straight to him, and he rings them back himself.
The site, on a phone.

A real enquiry is someone who got in touch themselves: a form, a call or a message. Counted from the same records each time; nothing is rounded up.
What this means for a firm like yours.
Big jobs are won on trust before the first phone call. If your website looks like the work you do, it carries the enquiries: 17 of Adrian's last 24 came through his website forms.
What their customers say.
Their Google reviews, word for word. The work is theirs. Our job is making sure the right people see it.
We contracted Adrian and his team to build our kitchen extension. We were nothing but impressed with his attention to detail. The team turned up on time every day and the site was kept amazingly tidy throughout.
Adrian set out exactly what was to be done, with a timeline and payments for each phase. Always punctual, polite and approachable, and very tidy, cleaning up at the end of each day.
Berrystone extended our lounge into the garage. The work was completed in the time frame given and finished to a very high standard. Neighbours even commented on how tidy the builders were.

Why it's a no-brainer.
Buying the same parts separately costs about £1,500 up front and £750 a month, and that's the low end. The bigger difference is everything around the price.
How we worked out £1,500 and £750 a month
- A website built to be called (freelancer, 5 pages)£1,500 one-off
- Your Google listing worked every week (local SEO, starter level)£300 a month
- Every enquiry replied to and chased (answering and follow-up)£300 a month
- Tracking, reports, referrals and reactivation (CRM and automation)£150 a month
The low end of what a proper UK freelancer or small agency charges, from published price guides read on 4 October 2026: freelancer brochure sites £1,500 to £3,000; local-only SEO from £300 a month; answering with follow-up £299 to £500 a month; CRM and automation software $97 to $297 a month before anyone sets it up. You can find it cheaper on Fiverr. You usually get what you pay for.
