This explains what SIMPLYSCALE LTD ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use this website or the free Google check, what we do with it, and your rights. SIMPLYSCALE LTD is registered in England and Wales, company number 17389287, registered office 21 Field Rise, Swindon, SN1 4HP. What we collect

• The free Google check. Your trade, your town, the business you pick from Google's list, and your answers to its questions. If you claim a free start or ask for your result, your name and mobile. The business details it shows (name, reviews, website) are Google's public listing, not something you gave us.
• The demo text. Your mobile number, used to send you one text.
• The contact form. Your name, your mobile, your email if you give it, and what you tell us.
• Calls, texts and emails with us, and the details you give Tyler on them.
• If you become a client, your onboarding answers and the details needed to run the service and invoice you.
• Visits to the site. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, counts visits without cookies. Google Analytics only runs if you choose "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner.
• Abuse protection. The check limits how often one connection can use it. It stores a scrambled code made from your connection address, not the address itself, and only for a short time.

What we use it for

• To show you your result, send the one text you asked for, and ring you back.
• To provide the service you sign up for, and to invoice for it.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it, only where you have agreed to analytics.

We text you only about what you asked us for. Reply STOP to any text and we won't text you again. We never sell your details or add you to a mailing list.

Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are: taking steps at your request before a contract (your result, the call back), performing a contract (the service), your consent (analytics cookies and the demo text), and our legitimate interests in replying to enquiries, keeping the check from being abused and running the business.

Your customers' details, if you are a client

When we reply to enquiries and chase quotes in your name, you are the data controller for your customers' details and we act as your processor. We use them only to provide the service, on your instructions, and keep them secure.

Who we share it with

Only the providers that run the service, acting as our processors:

• GoHighLevel: our customer records, calls and texts.
• Cloudflare: hosting for this site and the check, and cookie-free visit counts.
• Google: the public listing data the check shows, and Google Analytics where you have agreed to it.
• Our email provider, to write to you.

Some of these store data outside the UK. Where they do, safeguards such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses are in place. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies

By default the site uses only what it needs to work. Google Analytics cookies are set only if you choose "Accept analytics", and saying no changes nothing else on the site. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser.

How long we keep it

We keep details only as long as we need them for the reason they were given, and to meet legal and accounting duties: typically up to six years for client records, and less for enquiries that don't lead to work. After that they are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold on you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how it is used, or have a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new date at the top.
